The Spring 2025 Fall Part-Time Job and Experience Fair will be held on Tuesday, January 21st in the Webb University Center, Hampton-Newport News Room and Central-North Cafe from 11:00am-2:00pm. On campus and local community employers will be here to showcase opportunities for part-time jobs and many community organizations will be on hand to share meaningful ways to engage in experiential learning through volunteering, mentorship, leadership, research, study abroad, and more!

Looking for a part-time job?
This fair is intended for you, an ODU student seeking part-time employment on or off campus. Make sure you are prepared to meet with employers and put your best foot forward. These employers have come here to meet you, so make a lasting impression.

The keys to a successful fair experience are preparation and follow-up. Here is a checklist to help you get prepared:

  • Have your resume reviewed by the Center for Career and Leadership Development

  • Prepare your 30-second introduction

  • Have copies of your resume

  • Don't forget to ask for business cards at the job fair so you can follow up with thank you notes via email

  • Dress for success: Students should come dressed professionally

Students will have the opportunity to connect with CCLD Career Coaches in the Career Resource Room (located in Hampton-Newport News) for resume review, interview & career coaching, and access to free professional attire through Service Learning's Monarch Clothing Closet.

Looking for meaningful experiential learning and volunteer opportunities?
This fair is intended for you, an ODU student, to learn about academic, volunteer, and other experiential learning opportunities at ODU and in the community to enhance your career skills. We will have numerous campus, nonprofit, community, and government organizations available for you to meet and learn about ways to engage with your on-campus and off-campus Monarch community.
